Recycling

Residents inRecycling Container Arrives in Hudson the Town of Hudson are now able to participate in a community-wide recycling program.  Recycled items are no longer picked up curbside in front of your home.  Instead, a 20 yard dumpster located on Hickory Avenue between the Town's lagoon site and Loves Truck stop is now available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  There is no cost to the resident to use this recycling container.

All items listed below ARE acceptable materials:
Newspaper (including inserts but remove plastic bag) ▪ Office paper (if you can tear it we can take it) ▪ Mixed Paper ▪ Phone Books ▪ Steel or Tin Cans ▪ Aluminum Foil ▪ Plastic Milk Jugs ▪ Yogurt Containers ▪ Flattened Corrugated Cardboard ▪ Chip board (cereal & tissue boxes) ▪ Plastics (#1 through #7) ▪ Completely empty Aerosol Cans ▪ Pie Tins ▪ Magazines ▪ Butter Tubs ▪ Brown Paper Bags(No Plastic Bags) ▪ Aluminum ▪ Glass Bottle & Jars ▪ Detergent Bottles ▪ Bulk or Junk Mail ▪ Vitamin Bottles ▪ Soda, Water & Juice Bottles ▪ Cleaning supply bottles ▪ Condiment bottles ▪ Shampoo bottles ▪ Soda carrier boxes ▪ Paper egg cartons ▪ Paper towel & toilet paper tubes ▪ When in doubt, as a general rule if the opening of the container is smaller or equal to the base, it is okay to recycle.
Please rinse all items and discard lids, caps, and pumps for bottles. Labels are okay. Also, please make sure there are NO PLASTIC BAGS mixed in your recyclables.

Bad Weather

Please remember that your pricing for trash service is based on the amount of trash that you estimate you will have. Pricing is NOT based on the number of pick ups that you have per month.

Gator Rubbish shall not be liable for any failure in performance due to an act of God, weather, fire, sabotage, riot, explosion, or terrorism. Credits to your account WILL NOT be honored if any of the above occurs and we are unable to collect your trash. Gator Rubbish will collect all your trash on the next pick up date or as soon as deemed possible according to road and weather conditions.

Please make sure that your driveway, alley, etc. are clear of snow/ice and other debris so our drivers can reach your cans or dumpsters. Rural customers with long driveways must place their cans, dumpsters or toters close to the main road during winter months so that the containers can be accessed. Gator Rubbish will not be held responsible for inaccessibility of the containers or damage to driveways due to muddy conditions.

We appreciate the understanding that we received from all of our customers during previous storms!

Our Routes Change Everyday

Please make sure that you have your trash out by 7:00AM or a little earlier.

We will not go back if it is not out on time.

Can limits per household: Two 96 gallon toters OR four 33 gallon trash cans OR twenty five 13 gallon bags. Each container can not exceed a weight of 50 lbs.
